When We Collect Information

We may collect personal information that you provide when you:

  • Register for our Services.

  • Use our Services.

  • Participate in promotions, contests, surveys, or other events. 

  • Sign up for our email newsletter or other communications.

  • Interact with us on any Fluid Dating social media account.

    • Profile information such as your name, phone number, date of birth, photographs and videos, and login information to your social media accounts for you to connect to your Fluid account.

    • Financial information if you sign up for a paid subscription to our Services.

    • Information about other users. For example, when you provide us information about your contacts or when you report other users to us.


  • Information we automatically collect:

    • Geolocation data. We collect geolocation data such as your mobile device location. This information helps us identify your physical location and we use it to personalize the Services and make it easier for you to interact with other users.

    • Usage information. We collect information about how you use our Services such as date/time of visits, new or returning visits, users you interact with, how long you stay on our pages, and what you do on those pages.

    • Device information. We collect information about the device(s) you use to access our Services such as IP address, device ID, app settings, and, where you allow, mobile advertising IDs (for more information see Mobile Privacy and Tracking Technologies below).

    • Tracking Technologies. We may use tracking technologies to collect additional information automatically as you interact with the Services and to personalize your experience with our Services. 


  • Information from third parties:

    • When you interact with our accounts on our community forums or through our brand or community forums on a social media platform, we may collect certain information that you or the platform make available to us such as your social media ‘likes’, click-throughs to our Services, or custom interactions.

We may also make inferences about you such as your interests that we believe are relevant to you based on the information we have collected.

Mobile Privacy and Our Use Tracking Technologies

Our app uses software code provided by our business partners (software development kits or SDKs) that let our software interact with the services those partners provide. How to opt out of tracking on mobile

On iOS:When you download and open a new app, you'll get a notification that asks if you want to let the app track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You'll also see information about what the app would track. You can tap Ask App not to Track to block that activity or Allow.For apps that you've already downloaded and may have tracking permissions set up for, you can opt out of tracking under Settings, tap an app, and then tap to turn off Allow Tracking. Alternatively, you may go to Settings > Privacy > Tracking. You'll see in the list of apps that have requested permission to track your activity. You can tap to turn on or off tracking for each app. On Android:Go to the Settings app and navigate to Privacy > Ads. Tap Delete advertising ID, then tap it again on the next page to confirm. This will prevent any app on your phone from accessing it in the future.

Security

We protect information we collect about you by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access to user data retained in our servers, however, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information provided online. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information both online and offline. The servers on which we store data are kept in a secure environment.

Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your account or inquiry is active or as needed to provide you with the website or any requested services, and for a reasonable time thereafter in accordance with our standard procedures or as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Even if we delete some or all of your personal information, we may continue to retain and use aggregate or anonymous data previously collected and/or anonymize or aggregate your personal information. Please note that we will not be liable for disclosures of your data due to errors or unauthorized acts of third parties.

Controller Designation:Under the GDPR, we are designated as a “Controller.” A list of our subprocessors is available to our enterprise customers on-demand. Cross-Border Data Transfers: We may transfer to, and store the data we collect about you, in countries other than the country in which the data was originally collected, including the United States, Canada or other destinations outside the EEA and the UK. Those countries may not have equivalent data protection laws as the country in which you provided the data. We do not allow use of our Services by anyone younger than 18 years old.
